#180 Two months in China—Navigating the unfamiliar, with Laurie Burin
Meet Laurie, an American mom of four who has been in Shanghai for just two months. She’s the first to be interviewed for a series loosely titled, “12 Months & Under” which focuses on the stories of those who relocated to China less than one year ago. This series is perfect for those who are either in the pre-move stage or still riding that culture shock roller coaster of the first year or two. Hearing Laurie describe how’s she managing her ups and downs will make you feel less alone in the process. Tune in for Laurie’s tips on settling in, transitioning into school, and getting connected to the community.
“Everything is a choice. You can choose to be defeated by this or you can choose to get stronger by this, but no matter what you do through this experience, you’re going to change—and that’s exciting!”
