How she got to China
Her current endeavors
Travelling has always been Evrim’s passion. Her inspiration for the blog – to break the cycle of limited beliefs that the people in her life have always had. Through While Travelling, she hopes to inspire them that anything is possible if they choose to act on their passions.
Evrim writes her articles in English and Turkish. They are about her travel stories, expat life and inspiration. It is an online platform holding an average of 35,200 visitors per month, over 10K followers in social media channels and 15K life-style design newsletter readers only after a year and counting. On the corporate side, While Travelling cooperates with various credible travelling agencies, councils, hotels, airline companies in order to plant the idea of “travelling” deep into the minds of followers.
Because Evrim is a natural connector and believes in the power of people, she has also started an online platform called Expat Neighbors to help expats and locals to get in touch have a deeper connections and a better expat experience.
Staying motivated
Evrim rightly reminds us that, “We’re human. We’re naturally coded to think negatively first. In order to decode ourselves, you have to focus on positive things and repeat these lines everyday…
“I’m gonna do it!
It’s my time!
İt’s possible!
it’s necessary!
it’s hard but it’s worth it…
I’ll do it…”
As an entrepreneur no matter what, you have to stay positive, period. It is really hard, but you have to practice this skill everyday. Evrim has some great tips! Watch the same movie in which you are constantly seeing yourself reaching your goal. Do this every morning when you just wake up and every evening before you go to bed.
For Evrim, she simply refuses to take her eyes off the goal. She chooses to not focus on obstacles and complain but instead spends her energy solving them and moving on. Additionally, she doesn’t count the cost; rather, she looks back to see just how far in the journey she has come.
Her goal, her dream is important and so is yours! It’s you who is going to make this dream come true, so you have to stay on track by being positive, believing in yourself and your dream even if no one can see it but you.
